The chassis of the metal landscape shell is welded by channel steel and angle steel with high intensity and stiffness. The outer shell adopts GG double-sided color steel sandwich composite boards, and flame-retardant polystyrene foam is sandwiched in the composite boards, to reduce the impact on the temperature inside the box because of solar radiation. Under the top cover, there are holes for thermal convection and dissipation. The base of the box and all exposed metal pieces are processed with rust-proof treatment with perdurable coatings.
 
Based on different capacities and power supply plans of the transformer, the substation is classified into two structures which feature compact arrangement, small volume and safe operation. It uses two ventilation modes, natural ventilation and forced ventilation, to keep nice ventilation and cooling effects. The inwall and partition boards are made up of metal materials whose colors are harmonious with that of interior appliances. A dehumidification device can be installed in the box, to avoid condensation. The transformer cabinet, as well as high and low voltage cabinets, are all well lit. The structure of the box can prevent rainwater and dirt with strong resistance to corrosion, rust, fading and shocking.
